Sutton Hoo

The Sutton Hoo buckle by Comstock Heritage is made on a base of hand-wrought sterling silver with three cabochon lapis lazuli set in 18k yellow gold bezels, surrounded by sterling silver patterning with 18k yellow gold dragonhead shapes. The border is 14k rose gold, hand-cut with a jeweler's saw to create a unique edging effect�a diverting challenge for Comstock, but one that few others even would attempt. The buckle takes its name from a 7th century Anglo-Saxon burial site noted for, among other things, historical connections to the Old English epic Beowulf, and its regal design fittingly reflects the mythical grandeur of early-Medieval art and folk legend. Handmade to fit all 1.5 inch belt straps.
