Description
Only master silversmiths like those at Comstock Heritage could create such delicate detail with metals on this exquisite buckle set. Using a floral motif throughout each of the four pieces, they have used a variety of materials and techniques. Each piece is hand-engraved and made from silver filigree that is then overlain with fourteen-carat gold. The two keepers have one gold flower, the tip two, the buckle three. Underneath them all is finely engraved silver scrollwork. To finish things off, there is a fine, twisted silver “rope" along the borders of each design. You will not find finer silverwork anywhere. Fits all 1-inch belt straps.
America's oldest western silversmiths, Comstock Heritage was founded in 1886. Since then they have been perfecting the art of taking metal from the earth and shaping it into something beautiful. The Stegman family has owned the business since the 1920s, making everything from badges for law enforcement to ornamentation for saddles. Using this storied history and expertise, the craftsmen at Comstock now specialize in one-of-a-kind custom silver and gold pieces. Everything Comstock produces is made entirely by hand, reflecting respect for the materials and care for the family legacy of Comstock Heritage.
